Thanks for coming over and having a look at my photos. I have just finished working on a book about designers who make things by hand in Lutruwita / Tasmania; MAKERS. It has been the best project I have ever worked on and telling the stories of 24 makers has been an absolute honour and privilege.
I am interested in photographing beautiful objects, life changing events, art that moves or is still. I am a mother, a writer, an on-and-off trail runner and ideally like to spend at least half an hour in the afternoon day-dreaming.
I think life is full of magic and photography is a tool to capture that magic. It is also a portal with which we are allowed to see things that passed. Each photograph - no matter how mundane - transcends its meaning as it ages. This is why I find my role as a photographer endlessly fascinating. Of course I endeavour to take photos that are better than mundane. Try me.
